Futures for Children prides itself in offering carefully matched,
quality foster placements with carers who are committed to helping children and
young people who have been disadvantaged.
Our foster carers come from all walks of life, but all are able to provide a
child with a stable and secure home environment and have the energy and
enthusiasm to see a child through the ups and downs that they will face.
Futures for Children are always looking to recruit new foster carers. If you
are interested in becoming a foster carer, please complete the
enquiry form on this website
and post it to us, and one of our social workers will
be happy to contact you for an informal chat about fostering. We also have an
prospectus for those who are interested in fostering, which you can
download here. Alternatively, you
can contact your local office directly where staff will be pleased to assist
you.
Once you have received our information, should you decide that you wish to
pursue a fostering career with Futures for Children, one of our social workers
will visit you at home for a more in depth discussion about fostering and
whether it is right for you. If you and we both agree it is, a social worker
will undertake a series of visits to you and your family to complete an
assessment. We would also require a number of checks to be completed, including
a CRB check and personal references and we would ask you to come to some
training. You would then attend our fostering panel where a recommendation
would be made to the agency regarding whether you should become approved as
foster carers.
We hope you are interested in fostering for Futures for Children and look
forward to hearing from you.
